The Global Automotive Declarable Substance List (GADSL) is the list maintained by the automotive industry of substances that must be declared when they are present in a part or material supplied to a vehicle manufacturer. It is the reference list behind the International Material Data System (IMDS) reporting that every tier-one and tier-two supplier has to complete.
GADSL entries are marked as prohibited, declarable or forbidden for future use, depending on current legislation and on the industry's own commitment. A supplier must know which of these substances appear in each component, at what concentration and in which application, and must declare them even where no legal limit applies.
NTEK analyses automotive materials and components, identifies the declarable substances present and provides the data needed to complete IMDS entries and customer substance reports.
