Saudi SASO Launches Maneh Platform, Replacing Jeem1 from 1 January 2026

Key words of this article:

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has announced a major system upgrade: the new Maneh platform is now live and fully replaces the long-standing Jeem1 system from 1 January 2026. The change is a core element of Saudi Arabia's digital reform programme and its efforts to streamline trade compliance.

Highlights of the new Maneh platform

This is not a simple redesign of pages but a full digital reconstruction of the process.

A unified digital entry point raises the level of automation and makes the interface friendlier, with real-time tracking of the whole certificate application process.

All conformity assessment applications are now submitted, reviewed and closed on Maneh, ending the need to log into multiple systems and file through separate portals.

Automatic reminders and standardised archiving of application documents help avoid rejections caused by missed deadlines or incomplete submissions, reducing the cost of compliance errors.

Hard transition deadlines

The authorities have set a clear transition window and companies must complete outstanding work in time:

1 January 2026: Maneh goes live and all new applications must use the new system.

28 January 2026: all pending applications in the Jeem1 system must be closed.

Key risk warning

A practical reminder: every new system has a running-in period, and Maneh is still operating in a less stable state.

Review efficiency is below that of Jeem1, with material verification and information confirmation taking noticeably longer.

Overall certificate lead times are extended, directly delaying the issue of clearance certificates.

If you have shipments planned to Saudi Arabia in the near future, budget a longer certification cycle and start applications early, so that certificates are not delayed and cargo does not incur demurrage or penalties at port.

The switch has far-reaching implications. All new SASO certification applications will in future be handled through Maneh, mainly:

1. Quality Mark Licence

2. Certificate of Recognition IECEE (IECEE conformity certificate), covering a wide range of products: lighting products such as LED spotlights and track lights;

electrical appliances and household appliances such as televisions and monitors, dishwashers, deep fryers and circuit breakers;

IT and power products such as power adapters, power banks, mobile phones and tablets.

3. Water Conservation Card

The SASO system switch is a mandatory change in Saudi compliance policy. In the short term there is a risk of review delays; in the long term it will make Saudi certification applications more standardised and convenient. Companies with a long-term position in the Saudi market should learn the Maneh filing rules as soon as possible, plan certification schedules sensibly, avoid the running-in period and keep shipments clearing and delivering smoothly.
