The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand has announced an update to the technical standard for telecommunications equipment and radio communication equipment using the 5.925-6.425 GHz band in order to raise technical standards. Previously only FCC 15.407 was accepted for this band. Customers may now use EN 303 687 test reports for type approval applications in this band.

Scope of application. Under section 7 of the Act on the Organisation of Broadcasting, Television and Telecommunications Affairs, and under section 32 of the Telecommunications Business Act 2001 and the Telecommunications Business Act 1955, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has issued the following notification.

First, this notification takes effect from the day after its publication in the Royal Gazette.

Second, the earlier notification of the National Telecommunications Commission on technical standards for telecommunications equipment and radio equipment at 5.925-6.425 GHz is revoked.

Third, all announcements, rules, regulations or other provisions that conflict with this notification are superseded by it.

Fourth, the technical standard for telecommunications equipment and radio equipment using 5.925-6.425 GHz follows notification No. 1039-2567 on technical standards for communication equipment.
