Brazil's INMETRO has published unified voluntary certification requirements for IT products (Portaria No. 304/2023).
On 4 December 2023, INMETRO announced the entry into force, on the same day, of Portaria No. 304 (dated 6 November 2023), which replaces Portarias 170, 407 and 48. It approves comprehensive voluntary conformity assessment requirements and specifications for the conformity identification mark of 22 categories of IT products.
Portaria No. 304 mainly updates the test standards, and the standards and testing requirements for the annual maintenance and renewal of certificates have also changed accordingly.
