Tunisia's CERT has updated its Wi-Fi certification procedure, introducing mandatory connectivity testing with an Anritsu 8862A tester from 1 June.
What is required
In addition to the existing RF tests (power, frequency, spectrum mask and similar), devices will now be assessed for Wi-Fi connectivity performance to IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax in line with the applicable EN requirements.
A fully functional Wi-Fi test mode is now mandatory, so that every device under test can undergo complete connectivity verification during certification. CERT has advised manufacturers to ensure future products support this requirement so that testing and certification proceed smoothly.
The new rule is intended to improve the wireless experience and network stability end users actually get, and to further standardise market access in Tunisia by ensuring that devices placed on the market offer reliable interoperability.
