On 10 March 2023 the National Environment Agency (NEA) of Singapore amended the Energy Conservation (Regulated Goods and Registered Suppliers) Regulations and the Energy Conservation (Regulated Goods) Order under the Energy Conservation Act (ECA), updating the applicable energy efficiency test standards.
From 1 January 2024, the current test standards for refrigerators, televisions, LED lamps and compact fluorescent lamps with integrated ballast (CFLi) will be replaced by the applicable new standards shown in the table below. After the effective date, new registrations and renewals of the regulated goods concerned must be tested to the revised test standards:
