Following proposal 11112502 of the 81st conformity assessment resolution meeting, the requirements for antenna documentation in NCC certification have been updated with reference to FCC requirements. From 1 March 2023, NCC certification of low power radio frequency equipment, including modules and series applications, requires a more complete antenna specification or antenna test report.

Content of proposal 1112502:
1. A complete antenna specification or antenna report must include the antenna type, manufacturer name and address, brand, model, frequency and gain, and 2D or 3D drawings;
2. Low power radio frequency devices may refer to standards such as IEEE ANSI, EU ETSI EN and EIA, FCC 47 CFR Part 2, KDB and ARIB STD-T67;
3. Low power radio frequency devices, radio frequency components and restricted terminal equipment must provide an antenna specification or antenna test report in accordance with FCC KDB 353028 and the FCC TCB Workshop Part 15 Antenna Update of 26 October 2022.

The NCC is the National Communications Commission of Taiwan, China. It mainly regulates communications and information equipment circulating and used in the Taiwan region of China:
1. LPE: low power equipment, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi devices;
2. TTE: telecommunications terminal equipment, such as mobile phones and tablets.

NCC registration process:
Applying for and obtaining NCC type approval is mandatory so that products can be legally exported to and sold in Taiwan, China. Compared with other certification processes, NCC certification does not require a representative in Taiwan, China, and there is no factory inspection or re-certification for approved products that have not changed. Registration certificates issued have no expiry date.
