Test Overview
The paper tape abrasion tester uses a special paper tape as the friction medium and applies a fixed load to the friction head. Through a roller of fixed diameter, the paper tape driven by a constant-speed motor continuously rubs against the specimen surface until the substrate becomes visible or a specified degree of wear is reached. The abrasion resistance of the specimen is evaluated by the number of motor revolutions displayed on the counter.
Application Scope
The paper tape abrasion tester is suitable for abrasion tests on specimens with various surface coatings (electroplating, baked paint, screen printing, etc.). Un-oiled paper or tape is rolled against the specimen under friction, and the wear effect is judged after a specified number of revolutions.
