The CCC self-declaration is an adjustment and supplement to compulsory product certification: a declaration issued by the producer (manufacturer) based on conformity assessment results to confirm that the product meets the requirements of the rules and the applicable compulsory certification standards. Products subject to the self-declaration evaluation method may only use that method, and compulsory product certification certificates are no longer issued. Enterprises must complete self-evaluation in accordance with the Implementation Rules for Compulsory Product Certification Self-Declaration, submit product conformity information through the self-declaration conformity information submission system, and apply the compulsory product certification mark to the product before it may leave the factory, be sold, imported or used in other business activities. Once the conformity information is successfully submitted, the system generates a Compulsory Certification Product Conformity Self-Declaration, which is treated as equivalent to obtaining a compulsory product certification certificate, with the same subsequent supervision requirements.
