MCMC stands for the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, responsible for regulating and certifying wireless communication equipment. All products with wireless transmission require MCMC certification for customs clearance and sale. The certification work is carried out by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd, so it is also known as SIRIM Type Approval.
Basic information
Unit division principle: single model only; one certificate can only cover one model or brand. Certificate holder: the actual importer. Agent: required. Whole-product and module certification: module certification is accepted, which can reduce whole-product certification costs. Expediting: available with a 100% expediting fee, i.e. double the official fee. Certificate validity: 5 years.
