An in-vehicle camera is a camera device installed on the vehicle, used mainly to capture image information about the surrounding environment in support of driving and safety. In a conventional car the in-vehicle camera meant only the camera used for the reversing image, but in recent years the intelligent and electrified functions of vehicles have imposed a variety of new requirements on in-vehicle cameras and their fields of application have widened considerably - from the original dashcam to today's lane-change assistance, parking assistance, automated driving and in-cabin monitoring. To ensure that in-vehicle cameras operate correctly and reliably, a rigorous set of test standards is necessary.
