Growing demand for vehicle lighting, together with new optoelectronic products, new architectures and new processes, has led to large-scale use of optoelectronic and laser devices in automotive electronics. The AEC-Q102 standard defines the verification methods for automotive compliance and quality consistency of optoelectronic products including LEDs and laser devices, so that verification reflects real vehicle operating conditions more closely.
Optoelectronic semiconductors include: LEDs, laser components, laser elements, photodiodes, phototransistors, VCSELs and others.
