The National Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (NTRC) certifies radio communication, electronic and terminal equipment used in Grenada. The NTRC was established to regulate the telecommunications market in Grenada, formally created through the institutionalisation of the Eastern Caribbean Telecommunications Authority (ECTEL) Treaty and the promulgation of the Telecommunications Act No. 31 of 2000. The certification process ensures that equipment meets appropriate product safety standards and principles and does not cause harmful interference to other electronic or telecom equipment, systems or services.
