With the growth of the information industry, signal transmission rates must keep rising, requiring more signal bits within limited bandwidth. Continuously shrinking semiconductor cells also require lower signal levels. Reduced bandwidth and lower signal levels inevitably increase bit error rates. To reduce bit error rates, differential transmission technology emerged. Differential signal transmission is now widely used in high-speed, long-distance scenarios, greatly improving signal transmission reliability.
Differential transmission is a signal transmission technique that differs from the conventional one-signal-one-ground approach: both lines carry signals of equal amplitude and opposite phase. The signals on these two lines are the differential signals. The receiver compares the difference between the two voltages to determine the logic state sent by the transmitter.
NTEK has high-bandwidth network analysers, electronic calibrators, dedicated differential cable test fixtures and several experienced RF test engineers, and can accurately measure the parameters of differential transmission cables, effectively helping customers improve the performance of RF products.
