PTC stands for Positive Temperature Coefficient, referring broadly to semiconductor materials or components with a large positive temperature coefficient; a PTC heater uses PTC thermistor elements as the heat source. Conventional fuel vehicles mainly use engine waste heat to provide heat for the vehicle's thermal cycle, whereas new energy vehicles require a dedicated heater. PTC heater testing is one of the routine test items for automotive components, covering electrical performance testing, reliability testing, electromagnetic compatibility testing and environmental testing.
